The Planas brings together two craft traditions — tiered fabric lampshade making and hand-stitched leather/cord trim. Each conical layer is wrapped in soft fabric, then finished along its lower edge with a fine whip-stitched border in contrasting cord, giving the silhouette a tailored, garment-like quality. Light filters through the fabric layers in soft warm tones, fanning outward across the ceiling. Pairs effortlessly with bohemian, modern farmhouse, organic-modern, transitional, and warm-luxe interiors.

Which size should I choose?
∅ 40 cm: bedsides, entryways, narrow hallways, accent placements.
∅ 50 cm: kitchens, breakfast bars, smaller dining tables, kitchen islands.
∅ 60 cm: dining tables, larger living rooms, foyers, statement placements.
For dining, pick a pendant diameter roughly 1/3 to 1/2 the table's narrow dimension.
What kind of bulb does it use, and is it dimmable?
One E26 or E27 standard screw bulb (LED recommended; not included). Dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb and an LED-rated wall dimmer.
Are the stitched edges hand-finished?
Yes — each tier's lower edge is finished with a hand-applied whip-stitch border in contrasting cord, and slight variation in stitch spacing or tension between pieces is part of the handmade character. The fabric tiers themselves are tensioned over a metal frame and may show subtle differences in drape from one lamp to the next.
Can the cable be extended?
Standard cable is 150 cm / 59″. Cable length is extendable on request for higher ceilings or stairwell installations — contact support@Lia.com with your required drop length before placing your order.
